Vintage last rites crucifix sick call cross

This vintage Last Rites/sick call cross is such an interesting find! Made to hang on a wall until the time when a priest must be called to attend to the sick and dying. Hidden inside the cross are all the tools needed for the sacrament- candles, cotton, and a bottle to hold Holy Water. A very nice piece with some age and wear, but so much history! DESCRIPTION
✦ Vintage wooden Last Rites Crucifix kit
✦ Includes a wooden crucifix that slides open to reveal 2 candles, an empty glass bottle, cotton, and a paper instruction booklet titled "10 Important Things to Remember When the Priest Calls"
✦ Candles are unused and wrapped in (very old) plastic
✦ Cotton is unused but old and discolored from age
✦ Bottle is glass with a plastic cap and meant to hold Holy Water. Bottle is empty and holy water is not included in kit
✦ Ready to hang on wall
✦ Wear from age including scratches, dents, and chips in wood

DETAILS
✦ About 15.5 inches x 9.75 inches when closed

CONDITION
✦ Vintage condition with signs of age and wear. The wooden cross has some chips in spots (see photos), and some scratches, dents, and dings. Wood is old and shows its age.
✦ Metal parts show some tarnish, oxidation,and rust.
✦ Contents of kit are sold AS FOUND and AS IS. Candles are unused but plastic wrapping is old, discolored and torn. Cotton is unused but discolored and should be replaced. Bottle is in good shape.
✦ Paper booklet is very old and I have not unfolded it. The paper is old and shows age related wear and discoloration and may tear or crumble when unfolded.
